NIWA morns Barrister Margaret Orakwusi

Barrister Margaret Orakwusi
The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has express its deep shock over the death of Barr. (Mrs.) Margaret Nkem Onyema-Orakwusi who was a foremost maritime practitioner, and until her death, she was the chairman of Nigerian Ship Owners Forum and member of many notable organisations in the country.
The Authority in a statement on Monday by the General Manager Corporate Affairs Department, NIWA, Jibril Darda’u, quoted the Managing Director of the Authority, Chief Dr. George Moghalu as having described her as an icon of the maritime industry who has contributed to the growth and development of NIWA.
Dr. Moghalu said the Late Barr. Margaret Onyema-Orakwusi was a client and friend of NIWA and the Authority will surely miss her.
The MD also commiserates with her family and loved ones and prayed to God Almighty to grant them the fortitude to bear the great loss.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
